The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass: Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for complex electronic control systems, high-speed drive systems, and production hardware to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability Execute PLC programming modifications and upgrades (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) and implement SCADA solutions to enhance machine performance and data acquisition Lead continuous improvement and design projects, utilizing root cause analysis to engineer and implement control systems for upgraded or internally fabricated machinery Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment installs and repairs, including the safe use of hand/power tools and rigging/forklift equipment to manage heavy industrial loads Champion a safe, 5S-compliant work environment while participating in a shared on-call rotation to ensure consistent technical coverage for the facility The background of the successful candidate must include the following: 5+ years of experience in automation controls or a high-level industrial maintenance role 3+ years of strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI software suites 3+ years of proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents, including machine schematics and electrical diagrams 3+ years of comprehensive understanding of AC/DC drives, single/three-phase wiring, pneumatics, and hydraulics 3+ years of hands-on experience with a variety of power tools and forklift operation/rigging for heavy machinery Experience in high-speed processing environments (such as paper converting, printing, or continuous web manufacturing) is a major
