  • Overseeing engagement timelines, staffing, budgeting, and execution consistency
  • Ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with professional standards, firm methodology, and regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing senior and junior audit professionals
  • Acting as the primary client liaison—building strong, professional, long-term relationships
  • Partnering closely with the Audit Partner on engagement strategy, resource planning, and continuous improvement
  • Identifying and resolving technical and engagement-level issues proactively
  • Contributing to practice growth and supporting firm-wide audit initiatives as needed

Only candidates who meet the following core qualifications will be considered for interview:
  • 6–10+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Prior experience in an Audit Manager role
  • Must have held an Audit Manager title for at least 3 years at the current firm
  • Strong engagement leadership experience across both nonprofit and for-profit audits
  • Active CPA license is required
  • Proven ability to independently manage audits and lead teams end-to-end
  • Strong client-facing presence and professional communication skills
  • Stable employment history with minimal job changes
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued)
Top candidates will bring:
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of middle-market clients
  • Strong mentoring ability and interest in staff development
  • Exposure to advisory services or firm-wide process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to building long-term client relationships
  • Experience in a partner-accessible, high-accountability firm environment
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $90,000 – $130,000 , based on experience
  • Health insurance coverage
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • CPA support and ongoing professional development
  • Paid Time Off (starting around 3 weeks, with flexibility)
  • Additional earning potential tied to engagement ownership and client responsibility
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This role offers:
  • Direct access to firm leadership and Audit Partners
  • High visibility and influence in a growing assurance practice
  • A stable, relationship-first firm culture focused on long-term careers
