Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services on customer vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
- Observe and follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and other technicians.
- Inspect vehicles for basic maintenance needs and recommend additional services as necessary.
- Communicate vehicle's maintenance needs and provide basic information on recommended services.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each job.
- Keep work area clean and organized, including disposing of used materials properly.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and tools in good working order.
- Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge through on-the-job training.
Qualifications
- Ability to work as part of a team, with good communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility.
- Experience in shop or dealership automotive environment with a willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent and valid drivers license.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast paced, and busy environment.
- Basic tools
