While this role primarily serves at the DYS campus, the Career Life Coach must be prepared to assist other HIM campuses or correctional institutions as needed to ensure consistent program delivery and participant support.Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate and inspire students through mentorship and accountability.

  • Engage with employers to create second-chance employment opportunities for program graduates.

Program Delivery

  • Provide individualized coaching and wrap-around support, including:

    • Assisting with identification and essential documentation.

    • Coordinating post-release transition and employment support.

    • Connecting participants with housing, mentoring, and continuing education resources.

  • Use data and key metrics to evaluate program performance and outcomes.

Multi-Campus & Correctional Institution Involvement

  • Serve primarily at the DYS Campus but remain available to assist at other HIM campuses or correctional institutions if organizational needs arise.

  • Adapt teaching and coaching strategies to suit various environments and participant populations.

  • Travel to other campuses will be infrequent and based solely on program needs to maintain consistency in service delivery.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Partner with the DYS Campus Director and Administrative Staff to ensure accurate data entry, financial reporting, and timely submission of grant documentation.

  • Maintain all program-related data for internal and external reporting.

  • Support day-to-day campus operations and ensure program efficiency.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when engaging with youth populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and mentor individuals from diverse and challenging backgrounds.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Confident public speaking and group facilitation skills.

  • Experience in youth ministry, social services, education, or reentry support preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience in nonprofit management, counseling, or education preferred.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office platforms.

Travel Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance required.

  • Willingness to occasionally travel between HIM campuses or correctional institutions as needed.

  • A company vehicle is typically provided for official travel.

Hours & Compensation

This part-time position offers meaningful work with a flexible schedule and competitive hourly compensation.

Compensation:
