Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Sales Representative will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, supporting the sales process, and delivering training and education to new and existing accounts—both remotely and in the field. This hybrid role blends sales hunting with clinical expertise to open new doors, support the sales team, and drive adoption within targeted market segments including Wellness, Medi-spa, Medi-gym, Medical weight loss, Concierge Medicine and Nutrition practices.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position) include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales Development & Lead Generation
  • Proactively identify, research, and reach out to potential customers within assigned segments Wellness, Medi-spa, Medi-gym, Medical weight loss, Concierge Medicine and Nutrition practices.
  • Partner with the BDR team to qualify inbound leads and develop outbound strategies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for prospects—conduct initial discovery calls to understand needs and determine fit.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.
Sales Process Support
  • Collaborate closely with Territory Sales Managers to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person product demonstrations.
  • Provide clinical insight and case examples to strengthen the business case for SOZO.
Training & Education
  • Deliver onboarding training for new accounts (remote and on-site as needed).
  • Conduct refresher training and product education for existing customers to increase utilization and ROI.
  • Support customers with workflow integration and best practices for patient engagement.
Market Development
  • Represent SOZO at trade shows, industry events, and targeted community outreach.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Typical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Self-starter with a hunter’s mindset and a passion for prospecting.
  • Skilled at building trust and credibility with both clinical and business decision-makers.
  • Flexible and adaptable—able to pivot between sales and training needs quickly.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and motivated by collective success.
  • Knows how to open opportunities in emerging health and wellness markets
  • Ability to understand the clinical value of innovative medical technology
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years in medical device sales, clinical specialist, or hybrid sales/clinical roles—experience in wellness, aesthetics, fitness, or weight loss markets a plus.
  • Proven track record of lead generation and pipeline growth.
  • Strong presentation skills (virtual and in-person) with ability to explain complex clinical concepts clearly.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and basic data reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 30%).

  • Mental Demand : Moderate to high degree of concentration.
This position may require access to patient Protected Health Information (PHI) and may also involve access to electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). Those in this position are required to comply with all final regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
