Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control work and be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control measures. This role is crucial in upholding the highest standards of project quality, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to assess adherence to established standards.
  • Lead the QA/QC team in performing quality control tests and evaluations on construction activities.
  • Manage and maintain quality management documentation, including reports on inspections, audits, and non-conformances.
  • Review all contracts and assist the Contracts Department in ensuring quality requirements are properly communicated across departments.
  • Ensure all applicable quality standards are flowed down to suppliers.
  • Review and approve all quality, production, and engineering documents to ensure alignment with ISO standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and government or client quality assurance representatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Oversee project management initiatives related to quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • NETTCP QAT Certification (required).
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control Management in construction.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Ability to interpret and comply with government contracts and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address field issues and collaborate with production teams for resolution.
  • Ability to write detailed QC reports, summarizing inspections, tests, and field observations.
  • Requiring flexibility in work hours and availability for weekends as needed.
  • Experience in managing multiple areas of a project.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with inspectors, technicians, and owners.

Location & Work Requirements

  • In-person work in Enfield, CT.
  • Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.
