I am a Staffing Manager here at Randstad, and Iām currently partnering directly with my client to find a seasoned Federal Contracts Specialist for their Houston office.
My client is a premier R&D engineering firm executing high-impact technology programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Air Force. They are looking for a senior expert (5ā10 years of experience) to autonomously own their contract administration function on a part-time basis. salary: $28 - $33 per hour

Responsibilities
- Lifecycle Administration: Oversee government contract administration from pre-award proposal review and negotiations through post-award execution, modifications, and formal closeout.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure absolute alignment with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific requirements (AFOSR, ONR, DoD).
- Proposal & Cost Support: Partner with leadership to review solicitations, assess contractual risk, analyze terms and conditions, and ensure cost/pricing documentation complies with federal guidelines.
- Reporting & Audits: Monitor program metrics, tracking deliverables, funding lines, and financial invoicing. Serve as the primary point of contact for external administrative or agency-level audits if required.
- Agreement Management: Draft, review, and negotiate secondary agreements, including Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
