Light Equipment Mechanic (Multiple Positions)
Public Works Department, Fleet Maintenance Division
Full-Time, 40 hours per week
STARTING RATE:
$26.10 (Employees start at position range minimum per contract, contract currently in negotiation)
SALARY RANGE:
$26.10 - $34.06
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Light Equipment Mechanic is responsible for manual, power driven equipment, tools, and test equipment associated with the preventative maintenance and repair of all Town small equipment and vehicles, including automobiles and light duty trucks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or vocational school preferred.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years’ experience in the repair of motor vehicles or small engines, or graduation from a school specializing in automotive or small engine equipment repairs and one year of experience in the repair of motor vehicles or small engines. Ability to read and comprehend procedures, policies, documents, and directives that are necessary to the safe performance of the job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Candidate must possess their own tools necessary to perform the duties described.
