Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center has provided high quality health care to residents of western Orange County since 1971. Our 400-bed hospital has grown to meet its communities' needs to become the full-service hospital it is today. Our many distinctions include Primary Stroke Center and Advanced Inpatient Diabetes Care certifications by The Joint Commission, one of only two CCS-Certified Pediatric ICUs in Orange County and the only hospital in Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach with a Level III Neonatal ICU.

Position Summary:

Operate hospital-wide communications system, including clear paging, beeping and knowledge of emergency equipment.

Being cheerful and informative in communicating with the public, patients, employees and medical staff while working in

a fast paced, intense environment while remaining calm. Is aware of all hospital functions and stays updated in order to

answer questions. Ability to operate security base station radio to dispatch officers to correct locations.

Maintains and completes various dispatch forms, log books on codes and hospital information and checklists for HEAR

radio base station daily.

Essential Duties:

90% accuracy on paging and beeping hospital personnel and emergency codes, and on NCR printer

90% accuracy in answering questions. Keeps informed and updates on changes in hospital policies and procedures and new staff 90% of the time,

Responding to security radio accurately and in a timely fashion 90% of the time.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Typing 35 wpm/ medical terminology. Able to read, write and speak English. Must work well with patients/doctors and other staff.

The hospital, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to combine any of the above required experiences, or to consider applicants other work related experience in order to meet the above mentioned requirements.

Pay Range : $19.50 Minimum - $27.00 Maximum an hour

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience
