Job Title: Peer Support Specialist

Location: Nampa, Idaho

Employment Type: Part-time

Salary: $19 - $21/hour

About The Role

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will deliver services to clients in the home and community setting. This role supports adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness or emotional disturbance. The Peer Support Specialist promotes hope, wellness, resiliency, and recovery outcomes by utilizing lived experience and personal knowledge to encourage client success and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver peer support services to clients in home and community-based settings
  • Support adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness or emotional disturbance
  • Promote hope, recovery, resiliency, and wellness outcomes
  • Utilize lived experience to support and encourage clients in recovery
  • Assist clients with community integration and resource connection
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Record systems
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and community providers
  • Maintain required certifications and compliance with program standards
  • Travel throughout the community to meet with clients as needed
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and active insurance
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems
  • Active Family Support Certification; OR ability to meet minimum requirements to become certified in Family Support within 30 days of employment
  • Satisfactory results of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Enhanced Fingerprinting and background checks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
