A Project Accountant position is available at Garney. The Project Accountant is responsible for managing project finances, including job costing, budgeting, billing, and financial reporting for construction projects. Partners with project managers and operations teams to monitor costs, ensure compliance, and support the overall financial success of each project.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of accounting experience required; construction industry experience preferred
Experience with job costing, project accounting, and construction accounting practices
CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred
Proficiency with accounting software such as Viewpoint and Procore, plus advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with knowledge of construction contracts and cost structures
