Job Description

Salary: $170,000 - 210,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring 6+ years of equivalent experience in technology operations and engineering, with exposure to tools and platforms such as ArgoCD, Kustomize, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and LGTM.
• We have 4+ years of scripting or coding experience in a modern language, with Python preferred.
• We have 4+ years of experience as an SRE or in a similar individual-contributor role supporting public cloud environments, especially AWS and cloud-native technologies such as Lambda, EKS, and SNS.
• We hold a bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• We have strong expertise in cloud-based virtualization, particularly AWS-native services.
• We are comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• We work independently with a proactive, ownership-driven approach and apply critical and creative thinking.
• We collaborate effectively, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and build strong partnerships across teams.
• We understand information, network, and internet security, including threat modeling, cloud architecture, web protocols, and common attack surfaces.
• We have a deep command of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
• We demonstrate strong capability in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, including protocols, performance, and routing.

• We contribute to an Agile, agentic engineering organization by participating in planning, grooming, and story ideation that drive iterative platform improvements.
• We make security a foundational priority in every task and decision.
• We automate and improve delivery through GitSecOps practices, helping build a highly available platform while reducing toil and increasing reliability.
• We strengthen system reliability and uptime by developing and maintaining monitoring tools, analyzing performance, and implementing improvements.
• We triage incidents, assess risk, prioritize remediation, and take full ownership of production, quality engineering, and development-related infrastructure issues until resolved.
• We communicate issue status clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate closely with software teams to shape architecture and design for reliability and performance.
• We build observability tools that support SLOs and define and measure Service Level Objectives to ensure systems meet reliability expectations.
• We participate in regular on-call duties to help maintain high system availability.
