Job Duties:
Enjoy a consistent full-time schedule with flexibility, including occasional Saturdays as part of a standard 40-hour work week.
Work in a mix of indoor and outdoor settings, staying active while contributing to essential community services in all seasons and weather conditions.
Take on a physically engaging role that includes operating vehicles and equipment, and lifting, pushing, and pulling materials up to 75 pounds (with assistance or mechanical aids for heavier loads).

Preferred work experience in the operation of equipment, experience with tandem trucks helpful.
Must possess or obtain a valid Class B CDL within the required probationary period, in accordance with City policy.
Graduation from High School or accredited GED Certificate.
Operate refuse collection trucks on assigned routes to support efficient waste and recycling services, while conducting daily vehicle inspections and performing routine maintenance, including greasing and minor repairs.
Support Transfer Station operations by maintaining drop-off, rubble, and transfer sites; sort and process recyclables, appliances, and waste materials in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
Provide operational support across functions by serving as backup for loader, baler, and scale operations, and assisting with debris removal from streets and alleys as needed.
Deliver excellent customer service by assisting residents, addressing concerns professionally, documenting complaints, and reporting violations with accurate details to supervision.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel and oil consumption, and equipment inventory; monitor container conditions and assist with replacements, as well as support seasonal operations such as snow removal.
