Wellness Coach

YOUR IMPACT
The Wellness Center Attendant supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position interacts with new and existing members to help them in achieving their health and well-being goals. The Wellness Center Attendant creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities.

WHAT YOUR DAY MAY LOOK LIKE
No two days are the same in this role — but every day centers on creating a welcoming wellness environment, supporting members in their health goals, and keeping the fitness center safe, clean, and ready to use.

• Welcome members and provide equipment orientations, including consoles and mobile app support
• Answer wellness questions and guide members toward healthy living resources and programs
• Build authentic relationships and help members feel connected to the YMCA community
• Introduce members to group exercise options that match their goals and interests
• Keep the fitness floor clean, organized, and ready by re-racking weights and restocking supplies
• Clean and maintain equipment according to schedule and YMCA standards
• Use YMCA tools, schedules, handouts, and app resources to support member success
• Attend staff meetings and stay informed on wellness programs and updates
• Follow YMCA policies, respond to emergencies, and report safety concerns promptly

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION: 1 Position

Positions 1: SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Wednesday and Friday 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
$15.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Fitness knowledge preferred
• Comfortable with fitness related technology
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days
• Current Praesidium Academy trainings
